LPG Storage and Distribution Process Flow

A dedicated 14-inch pipeline runs 8.34 kilometres from the jetty receipt facility to the storage terminal — mercaptan dosed at the blender, pigged end to end, with offtakes to the GAIL and HPCL cross-country pipelines.

Terminal Infrastructure

Total Capacity: 13,350 MT of LPG storage — three propane-rated Horton spheres with an aggregate capacity of 8,400 MT (2,800 MT each) and a throughput capability of over 0.4 MTPA, plus 4,950 MT of mounded storage

Mounded Bullets: An existing safe filling capacity of 4,950 MT of ultra-secure mounded storage, completely encasing the vessels in earth/sand — optimizing terminal space and sharply reducing exposure to a BLEVE (Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion)

Dedicated Pipeline: A 14" diameter cross-country pipeline from the LPG jetty to the EIPL Energy terminal spans 8.34 KM, transporting LPG into the spheres

Evacuation Capacity: Direct connectivity to the GAIL cross-country pipeline and a high-efficiency six-bay tank truck gantry — 4,200 MT per day through the pipeline and 3,000 MT per day through road tankers, 7,200 MT per day in all

HPCL Connectivity: A 1.6 KM, 10" diameter cross-country pipeline connects to HPCL at the SV3 area, enabling efficient LPG transfer

We utilize two 10-inch marine unloading arms to discharge LPG directly from client ships at our jetty. Our exclusive pipeline network facilitates the smooth transfer of LPG to our terminal Coordinating with shipping agents and port authorities ensures timely vessel berthing and discharge. EIPL’s unloading services prioritize safety, speed, and flexibility.

Berthing on Arrival

The LPG berth is allocated to EIPL by the Port Authority rather than shared as a common-user berth. EIPL Energy coordinates with importers representatives, vessel shipping agents, CHA personnel, port authority, customs personnel and surveyors in anticipation of vessel arrival to ensure that vessels are berthed on arrival and vessel discharges are as per port norms for different products making the berthing and discharge process efficient.
